Grinding Gear Games has officially unveiled the next major expansion for the isometric Action RPG Path of Exile called Patrol. His main innovation will be the so-called Sentinels scattered around the world, which are ancient constructs. Players will be able to use them to increase the difficulty and reward.
There are three types of Sentinels:
- Sentinels-hunters – increase the average number of enemies in turn as you encounter them.
- Pandemonium Sentinels – Give strength to a large crowd of monsters at once in one swift flash.
- Apex Sentinels – Only buff rare or unique enemies, but they have a very powerful effect.
Sentinels can be reconfigured using the control panel. This will allow you to set specific behavior for them, consistent with the build that is convenient for you.
Also coming to Path of Exile are uber versions of High Bosses such as Venarius, Sirus, Maven, Flame Exarch, Eater of Worlds, Shaper, and uber Elder. According to the developers, this is the most difficult content in the game, but it gives you the opportunity to get valuable rewards.
The expansion includes a challenge league, 20 Atlas keystone passives, new unique items, reworked monster mods, full gamepad support, useful new amenities, a revamped challenge system, and more. You can find all the details on the official website.
The update will be released on May 13 on PC and May 18 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
