South Korean studio MADNGINE has published a number of vacancies related to a new game codenamed NX TF. Apparently, the project is in the early stages of development. A total of 9 vacancies have been published, including: designers, artists, animators, screenwriters.
From the requirements you can find out that NX TF is an open-world AAA-rpg for PC and consoles on Unreal Engine 5. One of the vacancies mentions that the game will have “intense combat and an exciting narrative”, and the events will unfold during the Joseon era (Korean state that existed from 1392 to 1897).
Separately, it is worth mentioning that the vacancies do not contain any requirements related to online or multiplayer, which is quite unexpected for the company that created Night Crows – one of the most popular MMORPGs for PC and mobile platforms in South Korea in 2023.
Interestingly, Nexon’s subsidiary Mintrocket is developing a game called 2XTF with a similar premise: an open-world RPG set in the Joseon era for PC and consoles. It seems that we are waiting for a confrontation between very similar games.
