Now you can see, perhaps not for the first time, that fans of games often make the game much more interesting and diverse than the developers themselves. We’re talking about those fans who have a talent for making mods. For example, the creators of The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth, a global mod, or DLC, each call Antibirth differently. What new mod brings to the original game? How does it change mechanics? Should I download it via torrent? We will try to answer these questions.

New locations

It’s worth starting with the fact that for many, the modified Isaac may seem rather complicated – more difficult than the original one. So, you start a new game (more on the characters below) and find yourself on the first level, which is one of the traditional floors. We will warn you right away, saying that you need to save one key in order to get to a new location. After defeating the boss, a blue door will appear that can be opened with a key. This door will lead you to the Sewers. There are mobs and bosses, which will be discussed below. Other new locations include the Mines and the Mausoleum, and access to each of them requires certain items. Each location has its own characteristics. The floor of the Mausoleum is divided into two parts, the movement between which is carried out by teleports; there are also rooms in which “guards” walk with lamps in their hands – try to pass so that they do not notice you. What’s interesting about the mines is that many of the rooms are “equipped” with rails that mobs can ride on. There are also bomb generators that can only be used within the room. In the Sewers, the floors are flooded, and there are buckets instead of barrels. Surely there are other locations that need to be opened in some unusual way. It seems like a great reason to download The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth via torrent!

New mobs and characters.

Sewerage. Spiders were replaced by “water striders”, which easily swim through holes in the floor, larvae were replaced by leeches. Many familiar mobs have taken on a new look and new abilities. For example, “whiners” who in the original either did nothing or called in flies/larvae can now swell to an incredible size. One curious and even funny, but causing a lot of trouble, mob appeared, which jumps out of buckets and starts throwing everything at the player that comes to hand. He can steal your blue stone! Among the bosses on this level, the most atmospheric and charming is Rainmaker, and the most dangerous is an improved modification of Pin in armor and with a sharp tail. Don’t forget to take the first part of the knife with you.

Mines. Everything around is stone and fiery. How do you like the mobs that jump and cross the floor with stones in four directions? Or an improved Larry, who will have to be bombed notably? But we know for sure that you will like the huge invulnerable mob summoner the most. Don’t forget to solve the stone puzzle to get the second part of the knife!

Mausoleum. All the fun happens here. Moreover, the boss effects are very beautiful, simply mesmerizing. And just as dangerous. There will also be a puzzle here, so take your time during the passage. And then the passage to the Corpse will open …

The new characters have very interesting features. For example, Bethany uses blue hearts as orbitals. Another character walks with his twin, and it’s better not to lose him. There are other characters that are secret. Well, of course, you will find a huge number of new items that will make your passage of The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth even more exciting. Changes in mechanics

Added missing HUD showing all your stats (turned on F6). Deal rooms will now only drop Angel or Devil items when rerolling. The function of the Krampus Ember has been slightly changed. The mod is only compatible with Rebirth.
