Apple A15 Bionic mass production due to begin in the third quarter of next year
Only a few days have passed since the start of sales of iPhone 12 smartphones, and the network has already received information about the new Apple phone, or rather about the single-chip system that will be used in it.
The iPhone 12 smartphones are equipped with the Apple A14 Bionic SoC, so the next generation of the company’s mobile phones will be based on the Apple A15 Bionic. The China Times said the Apple A15 Bionic will be manufactured using TSMC’s 5nm N5P process.
The mass production of the Apple A15 Bionic should begin in the third quarter of next year. Apple will do everything to avoid any delays. The company had to postpone the iPhone launch this year due to supply problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Recently, it was reported that TSMC’s 5nm SoC production lines were fully backed up by Apple. It is also known that nearly a fifth of the company’s total revenue comes from the Cupertino-based tech giant TSMC.
This is probably why Samsung was able to get an order from Qualcomm to mass produce the upcoming flagship Snapdragon 875 SoC, which is also manufactured using a 5nm manufacturing process.
Manufacturers such as TSMC and Samsung have already begun working on more advanced technologies that use 3nm and even 2nm manufacturing processes.
