Shown at the beginning of the year and unveiled in the summer, the Samsung 980 Pro solid-state drive was the fastest SSD at the first demonstration and remained one of the fastest.
The device went on sale in September, but this did not apply to the 2 TB model – we only knew that it would appear later. And now she is available.
At least in the British online store Scan, the novelty is already available for 456 pounds sterling, or about $ 615. The drive is likely to be slightly cheaper in the US and the European Union. For comparison, the 1 TB Samsung 980 Pro costs about $ 230, while they ask for 210 euros in Europe.
The full specifications of the 2TB model have not yet been specified, but for the 1TB version, Samsung promises read speeds up to 7000 MB / s, writes up to 5000 MB / s, and performance of 1 million IOPS.
