World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion officially announced

20017 World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion officially announced

After numerous rumors and leaks, the Dragonflight add-on for the MMORPG World of Warcraft has finally been announced. At the last presentation, we were shown the first cinematic, and also told in detail what to expect.

One of the main innovations is a new race and class – Draktir Awakener. This archetype represents the first combination of race and class in the history of World of Warcraft, which can also choose one of the factions (Alliance / Horde) at will. Draktyr Awakeners also have a unique introduction, have unique Devastation and Guardian specializations, and are able to enhance abilities by charging them.

The second important plus of the add-on is a new continent called the Dragon Isles. According to the plot, this is the homeland of the dragons of Azeroth, which has “awakened” and now the conflicts have flared up again. Additionally, in this territory it is possible to meet new enemies, visit fresh dungeons of Neltarus, Uldaman and others, a new raid, find new quests and even take advantage of the unique mechanics of taming dragons. The latter allows you to tame one of the four types of dragons, learn how to ride them, and even customize creatures.

Other updates include major UI updates, talent and profession systems, a level cap increase to level 70, and more. At the moment, users can register for beta testing of the add-on through the official website. No release date yet.
