The developers of the third-person MOBA Ethereal: Clash of Souls summed up the past year and shared plans for the development of the project in 2024. Thanks to the tests that took place in 2023, it was possible to collect valuable feedback and test the main elements of the game.
In the new year, changes will include a new custom ability system, which should improve all aspects of combat and gameplay. At the same time, most of the visual errors that many players criticized during the first game tests many years ago were corrected. Many animations, camera behavior, graphics and sound will also be updated.
They decided to abandon the system of “predicting” players’ actions to compensate for ping. And now players will receive server-confirmed game state. This will avoid situations where players with low network latency have an advantage.
At the moment, two new characters are being prepared: Grog’narc, who will fully reveal the possibilities of technical updating, and Zero, who is able to switch between two “stands”.
