Bioware has unveiled the next major expansion, Legacy of the Sith, for the Star Wars MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. Like everyone else, it will be free for subscribers only. The release will take place in 2021.

As the storyline continues, the war between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire will spread to new worlds. Players will uncover the secret plan of Darth Malgus, who is rumored to be hunting for ancient relics throughout the galaxy.

The expansion will add a system of fighting styles, along with which the game will have more options for character customization. Players will be able to choose any advanced class within the Tech and Force specializations. For example, play as a Trooper with a sniper rifle or as a Sith Inquisitor with lightsabers in each hand, or use dark power as a member of the Jedi Order.

Also, players should expect a new R-4 Anomaly operation, an increase in the maximum level to 80, a new season with rewards and much more. In addition, after the release of the extension, the developers promise to add even more content along with updates.
