Vivo is working on a new proprietary shell called Origin OS
At the end of last year, Vivo announced the proprietary shell Funtouch OS 10, which was launched along with the Vivo X30 phone, however, due to the pandemic, the release of firmware on other smartphones was postponed.
Then there was information that the company planned to transfer its smartphones to Jovi OS, but during the development process this idea was abandoned. The reason is that Vivo is working on a new proprietary shell called Origin OS.
A well-known Chinese insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station said that we are talking about a completely original shell, which will be very different from Funtouch OS. In addition, it is already believed that Origin OS claims to be one of the best graphical shells based on the Android operating system.
Presumably, the official announcement of Origin OS will take place before the end of the year along with the presentation of the Vivo X60 smartphone.
