Studio Kiloo returns to the roots by releasing an arcade game similar to Subway Surfers on smartphones.
Running away from the keepers of order is a typical thing in the world of the future. At least that’s what the developers from Kiloo, who worked on Subway Surfers with SYBO Games, think so. Now the MetroLand project, the spiritual successor to the previously mentioned game, has come out of their hands. The difference is that we enter the future with futuristic trains and cops. At the start, one character is available, although there are five heroes in total in the game.
In terms of gameplay, MetroLand is no different from its predecessor – we run straight, avoiding oncoming vehicles and obstacles, collecting coins along the way. To do this faster, we are offered a magnet and a doubling of points, and a shield saves us from sudden blows. It is strange that there is no noticeable acceleration of running, the number and size of cars can only change.
To make it less embarrassing, in MetroLand, after you are caught, there are two options: pay 5 premium coins or watch an ad. This will help you start from the same place where you were grabbed. The developers also promise to build a base and robots that can be sent on an expedition to get offline materials.
