Netmarble has announced the exact release date for the cross-platform MMORPG Arthdal Chronicles and shared new details about the game. The full release in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau will take place on April 24, 2024. The game will be available on PC and Android mobile platforms (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).
Arthdal Chronicles is a RvR-oriented game, and users will have to choose between opposing Ago and Arthdal, or mercenaries, who can change sides of the conflict as necessary. Unlike most cross-platform games, Arthdal Chronicles recommends playing in a party with a tank and a healer. Especially in PvE dungeons and PvP activities.
The game will offer a ton of PvE content: story campaign, side quests, daily quests, resource gathering, fishing, hunting, cooking and crafting. Co-op dungeons are designed for 4 people, and raid content will offer challenges for groups of 16 people.
PvP is represented by several types of activities, such as fighting for bosses in the open world, battlefields designed for a certain number of participants, as well as cross-server battles. According to the game producer, every player will find something to their liking and their online experience.
Arthdal Chronicles implements several systems that affect the game world and the players in it. For example, the weather in the region determines what type of clothing you should wear. Without warm clothes in the cold you will get a debuff. In addition, a system for changing the time of day and weather phenomena has been implemented.
As for the monetization model, this is a relatively classic situation for Korean games: mounts and pets will be available through the gacha system. But the developers assured that this will not introduce P2W, since it will be served in limited portions. Costumes can be purchased as you progress through the game and participate in various events. Collections (also known as “codex”) are also present.
